Introducing Moby

In June of 2011 I was blessed with the arrival of Moby... a pure white jack foal.  His mother was crippled and despite months of vet and farrier care it was determined that her condition was irreversible and putting her down was the only humane thing to do.  I allowed mom and son a week together before making the difficult decision.  That left me with a new orphan to raise.  Moby has been a true delight.  At 3 weeks old Dave and I decided to take him to
West Park Longterm Care to visit his mother, Georgia.  You can imagine my surprise when the Director told me to "Bring him on in!"  Moby even got to ride the elevator to the second floor.  He was an instant hit and ended up visiting many rooms on the first and second floor.  Our only problem was the slippery floors.  Two hours later we left with a pooped donkey.  And I am proud to say he did not have one accident!!
Before Moby, No one ever recognized me.  After Moby, everyone recognized me... and kept asking when I would bring him back.  That prompted me to search eBay and order some neoprene.  Then I fashioned some donkey sneakers with velcro closures and we were in business!  Moby is now 7 mo. old and has made 3 visits.  He loads in the elevator like it was his horsetrailer and marches down the halls on a mission.  He loves his non-skid sneakers... and he loves the people as much as they love him.  AND  so far, not one accident.
